What is a Managosteen?

Native to Southeast Asia, Mangosteen is a tropical fruit .
It has a dark purple colored rind/peel with white flesh inside.
The fresh fruit is juicy, sweet and sour to taste.

2.  Why freeze dry Mangosteen?

Freeze dried mangosteen retains it's shape & most of it's nutrition.

Approximately the size of a Clamentine.

Great in Cereals & trail mixes,  on Salads & Yogurt puddings & Vanilla Ice cream.

Yes, just like any other fruit , the sweet taste  comes from it's natural sugars.

No, it doesn't have any significant amount of fat.

Due to it's antioxidant properties. It has something called Xanthones which are phytogens, i.e. help fight free radicals.
A lot of research is going on this fruit !!!

10.  I hear that the rind has all the benefits of the antioxidants.

This is true but rind is extreamly bitter, the fruit itself is naturally sweet and the seeds have the antioxidants as well.
So we need not add any sugars, flavors, juices or colors to eat.
